I started my Swamp Witch Facebook page as a cathartic outlet for when I hit rock bottom after my business collapsed and my dad died in 2019. All I did was post content that I related to, and apparently around 200K others find it relatable too. It's one of several pages I've now grown to significant proportions organically on Social Media. I'm a 6 foot tall, natural redhead, born and raised in New Orleans until my family moved to Kansas when I was 8 in 1995. I've been living in Southern California for the most part since 2015, but I still go back to New Orleans at least once a year for the Endless Night Vampire Ball. I'm an active member and leader in the Vampire Community in Southern California. I found the Gothic & Vampire subcultures back in 2002 around when I started high school. There weren't many goths in the area I lived in but I read Gothic Beauty Magazine, Dark Realms Magazine and discovered what I could by reading websites like vampires.com and the early Vampire Freaks. Early 2000s Nu Metal and mid-late 90's riot grrrl & gothic fashion have influenced my style greatly (if you can't tell). I've always had an affinity for swamps and all things occult.
I developed a lot of skillsets when I ran my first makeup line. I made a lot of mistakes and got taken advantage of due to my ambitious nature and naiveté. Thanks to all that though, I found out that my strongest suits lie in branding and marketing and because of that I've been able to lend those talents to others' creations and helped them grow and avoid the pitfalls I fell into while also earning money pay off debts. It took three years, but I finally made unique (Patent Pending) tentacle brushes & book palettes happen and have bounced back better!
